Client S obtains twelve month Protective Order

Jones Day represented S at a contested hearing in Fulton County Superior Court and secured the grant of a twelve month Protective Order on behalf of the client. S was assaulted by the Respondent, her boyfriend at the time, in front of her three minor children. As a result of the attack, S was left with facial scarring and one of her minor children began to suffer from anxiety induced seizures. After she reported the assault to the police and ended the relationship, the Respondent and members of the Respondent's family, threatened and harassed S repeatedly in person and by phone, text, and through social media. S sought assistance through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, who referred the case to Jones Day for representation.
