Jacobs Group seeks advice in dispute relating to payments made under alleged unfair preferences

Client(s) Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc.

Jones Day acted for Jacobs Group (Australia) Pty Ltd ("Jacobs") in relation to a dispute with the liquidator of Western Desert Resources Ltd. The liquidator commenced a proceeding in South Australia seeking to recover multiple payments to Jacobs on the basis that those payments are allegedly unfair preferences under section 588FA of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
