United Nations University obtains assistance with "Survivor's Package" for survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking
Client(s) United Nations University Centre for Policy Research
Jones Day conducted worldwide research for the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research to assist in the development of a "Survivor Package" for survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.
One of the drivers of modern slavery is the lack of access to the financial system and the Survivor Package will provide a framework for financial institutions, support organizations, and other relevant actors to facilitate access to basic financial services. Jones Day's research in the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Australia helped to identify potential solutions to facilitate financial access for these survivors.
