Banco Santander refinances credit facility granted to Abent 3T for development of 220 MW cogeneration plant located Mexico

Jones Day represented Banco Santander (Spain) in the refinancing of a credit facility in Mexican pesos equivalent to US$411 million granted to Abent 3T, S.A.P.I. de C.V. for the development of a 220 MW cogeneration plant located in the state of Tabasco, Mexico.

This transaction represents the senior loan of a borrowing structure that was set forth for the development of the project, from which Banco Santander executed its call option to buy Abent 3T as the project company.
