Court-appointed amicus curiae presents oral argument in D.C. Circuit Freedom of Information Act case
Client(s) Court-appointed amicus curiae
Jones Day, acting as court-appointed amicus curiae in this D.C. Circuit appeal, filed briefs and presented oral argument relating to the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") claims of an individual seeking records relating to his military justice proceedings. The individual appellant contends that the government failed to adequately justify its withholdings under the deliberative process privilege and that the district court erroneously denied leave to amend his complaint to add other FOIA claims. The D.C. Circuit appointed Jones Day to make arguments in support of appellant’s position.
