Three Jones Day associates selected for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity programs
Three Jones Day associates have been selected for two different Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) programs. Justin McKithen of the Atlanta Office was selected as a LCLD Fellow, and Amanda Johnson of the Chicago Office and Stephen Scott of the Pittsburgh Office were selected as LCLD Pathfinders. Both programs offer participants opportunities for mentoring and leadership training.
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have pledged themselves to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
Mr. McKithen is an associate in the Financial Markets Practice. His practice focuses on the areas of capital markets and general corporate law. His experience includes public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities, initial public offerings, special purpose acquisition company "de-SPAC" transactions, tender offers, exchange offers, and other corporate transactions. He also regularly advises clients on SEC periodic reporting and disclosure requirements, stock exchange rules and regulations, and a broad range of corporate governance and shareholder engagement matters.
Ms. Johnson is an associate in the Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice. Her practice focuses on business restructuring and reorganization, including chapter 11 proceedings, complex bankruptcy litigation, and other bankruptcy-related matters. She also counsels distressed clients and has experience with out-of-court restructurings.
Mr. Scott is an associate in the Business & Tort Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on mass torts, spin-off and distribution agreements, and construction projects, among other subjects. He also assists manufacturers in delivering emerging technologies, such as e-bikes, to consumers.
