Sensus defends against SIPCO's patent infringement claims over smart grid technology

Jones Day defended Sensus USA, Inc. in a patent infringement suit involving smart grid power technology. These technologies provide advanced, environmentally-friendly power management and conservation solutions to the utility industry, allowing them to monitor consumer electricity use in real time, and to regulate that use for efficiency while preventing brownouts and power outages. The case settled.
