Jones Day represented a flat panel television manufacturer in connection with a putative nationwide class action regarding allegedly defective component parts in plasma and LCD TVs manufactured since 2003. The case involved significant motion practice from the very beginning. After plaintiffs filed their second amended complaint and our client again moved to dismiss the complaint and to strike the class allegations, the plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the case and indicated that they do not intend to re-file in any jurisdiction.
