Jones Day advised MasterCard International in its acquisition through Belgian subsidiary MasterCard Jupiter Investments Sprl of a 50% stake in Mobile Financial Services Holding Sprl, a Belgian joint venture with Telefónica to provide mobile financial services in 12 countries in Latin America, where Telefonica is present through its Movistar brand.
