Jones Day secures asylum for mother and son from Senegal
Client(s) K.D.
In April 2015, Jones Day secured a grant of asylum for K.D., a client from Senegal, and her son following an affirmative application. K.D. had been a victim of Female Genital Mutilation ("FGM") as a young girl, and was later beaten and physically abused by her husband's family for her refusal to allow her young daughter to undergo FGM. Jones Day is now working with K.D to secure work papers and eventually a Green Card.
