China Vanke acquires stake in The Stage, Shoreditch

Jones Day advised China Vanke Co., Ltd., a large residential real estate developer, in connection with its debut European investment relating to a Cain Hoy Enterprises-led consortium behind The Stage, a £750 million Shoreditch development. Vanke acquired a 21% stake in the joint venture partnership which also includes Galliard Homes and Investec Structured Property Finance. The development project includes a 40-storey residential tower, over 250,000 square feet of office, retail, and leisure accommodation, and the remains of a 16th-Century theatre.
