Client's request for reconsideration of Social Security Disability Benefits is granted

Jones Day and the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless helped a client obtain Social Security Disability benefits. The client, who suffers from both physical and mental impairments, was initially denied benefits in December 2016. The client sought assistance from the legal clinic in requesting reconsideration of that decision. In addition, assisted the client in acquiring all of her necessary medical records, transmitting them to Disability Determination Services to be considered, and drafting a legal memorandum explaining why the client satisfied the disability listing requirements. In July 2017, the client was told that his request for reconsideration had been granted.
