MEXCAT and the Ministry of Finance of Mexico successfully complete US$1.8 billion tender offer of bonds and consent solicitation

Jones Day represented the Mexican Private Trust known as MEXCAT and the Ministry of Finance of Mexico in connection with the issuance of four series of bonds under a Rule 144A offering in the amount of US$6.0 billion in the tender offer to re-purchase up to US$1.8 billion bonds and consent solicitation to remove from the indentures all references to the collateral consisting on revenues of the New Mexico City Airport. The above to guarantee sufficient flexibility to the new Mexican Government with respect to its new Mexico City Airport system strategy.
MEXCAT received 70 percent consent approval, therefore it has closed successfully the required amendments to the respective indentures and ancillary documents.
