Global financial firm successfully resolves civil RICO claims

Jones Day successfully resolved all litigation filed against a global financial firm in Pennsylvania, Washington, the British Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong. The plaintiff factoring company asserted federal RICO claims and numerous state law causes of action in the Pennsylvania action. The financial firm disputed the complaint's allegations and, after extensive discovery, filed counterclaims for abuse of process, civil conspiracy, and tortious interference with contractual relations. The case was resolved favorably shortly afterwards.
