Guillaume Couvert's practice focuses on complex pre-contentious and litigation cases involving banking law, bank resolution and recovery, corporate law, insolvency law, and European law. He has extensive court experience, including in relation to the Belgian Supreme Court (Cour de cassation).
In addition to litigation, Guillaume has experience in transactional banking and corporate law. He has advised clients on national and cross-border capital markets, banking, corporate, real estate, and private equity deals and has acted for large banks, investment funds, private equity firms, and listed and non-listed companies.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2019, Guillaume practiced in the banking, capital markets, and corporate departments in the Luxembourg office of an English law firm.
