Jon McCreary's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, from jet engines to drug products. He practices in the federal courts, before the International Chamber of Commerce, and in Pennsylvania state courts.
Jon was part of a team that successfully defended a client from veil piercing claims involving nuanced choice of law issues before the Third Circuit. He also worked on a multi-office effort to resolve a private arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce on behalf of a global engineering and aerospace company. He has worked closely with experts and fact witnesses to develop and distill testimony and expert opinions. Jon was a member of the UPMC trial team that prevailed against the Commonwealth in consent decree litigation before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.
For half a decade, Jon has served on the board for the State YMCA of Pennsylvania, actively engaging with teens around the Commonwealth to provide civic education and leadership opportunities. As part of his pro bono practice, Jon has briefed prisoner rights issues, worked on post-conviction relief briefing before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and assisted in degree of guilt proceedings before the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas.
