Jones Day again wins New York Law Journal's "Labor & Employment Litigation Department of the Year" award
Jones Day was named Winner of the New York Law Journal's (NYLJ) Labor & Employment Litigation Department of the Year award for 2024. The Firm has won this recognition four times since 2017. The annual New York Legal Awards by the NYLJ, a part of Law.com, honors "the best the profession has to offer and those individuals and organizations who are taking the industry to the next level."
Recent matters that merited this award included securing multiple trial and appellate court victories for a technology company in challenges to its arbitration program, multiple class action wage-hour wins for a media company, and the dismissal in its entirety of a discrimination case against a major healthcare provider.
Jones Day's Labor & Employment Practice in New York and around the globe focuses on every type of employment dispute, and is known for high-stakes and precedent-setting litigation cases, including discrimination and wage and hour class actions, sexual harassment suits, and mass arbitrations, as well as high-profile, complex traditional labor matters before the NLRB, on behalf of some of the largest and most prominent employers in the world.
In addition to this distinction, in the last year the Jones Day Labor & Employment Practice and its members were recognized by Forbes' inaugural "America's Top 200 Lawyers," BTI All-Star List, Chambers USA, Law360 Rising Stars, Daily Journal Top Labor and Employment Lawyers, and Corporate Counsel's "Collaborative Leadership" award.
