Jones Day partner David J. Feder named to LABJ Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys list

Jones Day Issues & Appeals partner David J. Feder has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) list of "Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys." The editors select lawyers based on a demonstration of impact made on both the legal profession and on the Los Angeles community.

Mr. Feder focuses his practice on tort law (especially product liability), California litigation (including California's Environmental Quality Act and Unfair Competition Law), and federal statutory challenges, among other areas. He has argued numerous motions and appeals in state and federal courts and won important legal victories on topics as varied as constitutional due process, First Amendment religious liberty, and statutes of limitations and repose.

Mr. Feder makes significant contributions to Jones Day and the Los Angeles legal community. He is an active speaker at local law schools and mentors younger lawyers, particularly those interested in appellate work. He also regularly presents on topics like legal research and writing and clerkships to the Firm's summer associates, new lawyers, and members of the Hispanic Lawyers Group.

Mr. Feder graduated from Harvard Law School first in his class in 2014. He clerked for Justice Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court in October Terms 2016 and 2017, and later co-authored the Justice's New York Times best-seller A Republic, If You Can Keep It. In 2023, he was recognized by The Recorder as a "Lawyer on the Fast Track."
