St. Elizabeth Medical Center cleared by FTC to merge with St. Luke Hospitals in Northern Kentucky

Jones Day successfully persuaded the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) not to seek a preliminary injunction against a hospital merger proposed by St. Elizabeth Medical Center. The FTC closed its investigation of the proposed merger between St. Elizabeth and St. Luke Hospitals, both of which operate in the Northern Kentucky suburbs of Cincinnati, at the same time as it was bringing a case against two hospital systems in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C.
