Central Ohio Cardiology Group resolves lawsuit with health care system

On behalf of Heart Specialists of Ohio, Inc. and its individual member physicians, Jones Day successfully resolved breach of contract claims on favorable terms in a case filed against the former central Ohio independent cardiology group by OhioHealth Corporation.  In their lawsuit, the plaintiffs alleged that Heart Specialists of Ohio, Inc. and the physicians had violated certain provisions of a management services agreement and their limited employment agreements when the cardiology group elected to relocate their medical practice to a competing health care system.  After a confidential settlement resulted in the court's dismissal of the plaintiffs' claims, the group maintains its active cardiology practice in central Ohio.
