Kotak Mahindra completes second ever placement via Institutional Placement Programme

Jones Day advised Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited in connection with the US$70 million private placement of Equity Shares of the Indian conglomerate Godrej Industries Limited ("GIL").

GIL is the second company to complete a placement through the recently enacted Institutional Placement Programme. GIL is the flagship company of the Godrej group of companies and has controlling or substantial interests in, among others, leading consumer products, real estate, chemicals, and agricultural products businesses.

Jones Day also advised Kotak, as well as UBS Securities India Private Limited, in the first placement through the Institutional Placement Programme for Godrej Properties Limited, a subsidiary of GIL.
