GAIA POWER announces construction of 92 MW solar power in Kyushu region of Japan

Jones Day is advising K.K. GAIA POWER in its construction of a 92 MW solar power plant with four companies. This is one of the largest solar installations in the Kyushu region of Japan with JPY30 billion funding by the syndication loan with 17 regional banks (the first funding scheme only among regional banks in Japan). Jones Day advised on acquisition of the project lands, due diligence on the project including regulatory matters, setting up the project company, the shareholders of which are comprised of developers, and shareholders arrangement, and finance documentation and negotiation with the lenders.
