GE Digital sells majority stake in ServiceMax to Silver Lake

Jones Day provided labor and employment advice to General Electric Company with respect to the sale of GE's majority interest in ServiceMax to private equity firm Silver Lake. ServiceMax provides cloud-based field service management solutions. Jones Day advised on employment issues in the United States, the United Kingdom, and France involving negotiation of employee matters and leasing agreements, works council issues in Europe, and the transfer of employees around the world. The transaction involves approximately 550 employees and closed on February 1, 2019.
