Global defense contractor secures dismissal of lawsuit brought by former Saudi Arabia-based employee
Client(s) Global defense contractor
Jones Day successfully represented a global defense contractor and one of its management employees in a lawsuit brought by a former employee who had worked in their Saudi Arabia branch office. The federal district court granted Jones Day's motion to dismiss the suit for lack of personal jurisdiction, concluding that the company and its manager could not be sued in that jurisdiction for claims arising under an employment relationship centered in Saudi Arabia and asserted pursuant to a contract that was negotiated, executed, and performed in that country.
