Gaspar Cottard's practice focuses on French, European, and international environmental law. Dually trained in public business law and environmental law, Gaspar advises French and international clients on civil, administrative, and criminal litigation and regulatory issues related to natural resources, industrial risks, sustainable development, non-financial reporting, and corporate social responsibility.
Gaspar has particular experience in issues relating to the Classified Installations for the Protection of the Environment (ICPE), environmental audits, polluted sites and soils, and chemical substances, especially under REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and other European regulations. He also has in-depth knowledge of the French management of state and local administration.
Gaspar teaches environmental, health, and safety law at the University of Tours and is also guest speaker at the Paris Chamber of Commerce on EHS matters.
