Elodie Simon practices environmental, health, and safety (EHS) law, focusing on industrial activities, air and water pollution, polluted sites, and health risks associated with chemicals, food, and consumer products as well as on liability issues connected with these matters. Her experience covers various EHS regulatory (French and EU environmental regulations) and litigation (administrative, criminal, and civil) matters.

Elodie has developed specific experience in REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and other EU chemicals regulation (CLP [classification, labeling and packaging], biocides, and food contact materials) as well as on emerging pollutants such as PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances). She regularly advises French, EU, and international private entities on REACH registrations and authorizations, compliance checks, substance evaluation, classification and labeling issues, and enforcement procedures (failure to reply [FTR], etc.).

Elodie also handles environmental, health, and safety issues in M&A and real estate transactions.

Elodie is particularly involved in the life science and pharmaceutical industries and is part of the Firm's multidisciplinary team that works to anticipate and respond to the new challenges facing this sector. She has assisted major manufacturers, distributors, and users of medical devices, consumer and regulated products in connection with product compliance, withdrawal and/or recalls, as well as investigations and litigation matters in this area.

Elodie teaches in the Sustainable Development Master program at the University of Paris IX-Dauphine and is a regular presenter at the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie on various EHS law matters. In addition, she co-heads the Commission ouverte de droit de l'environnement et risques industriels of the Paris Bar.
