Karim Tarantino's practice focuses on French, European, and international environmental law. He advises French and international clients on a wide range of legal issues, including industrial risks, polluted sites and soils, climate change, chemical substances (particularly under REACH [Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals] and other European regulations), and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
He is particularly involved in issues relating to the Classified Installations for the Protection of the Environment (ICPE) and assists clients on the creation, operation, modification, or closure of their facilities and sites and represents them in related litigation (civil, administrative, and criminal).
He also assists clients in the management of crises related to industrial accidents or incidents and in their relations with the competent authorities, communication, expert proceedings, and in the management and articulation of litigation that may result from them.
Karim also handles environmental, health, and safety audits in connection with mergers and acquisitions
