Yu-Wen Wang's practice focuses on white collar crime, securities law, and trade secrets law. From representing clients in initiating complaints regarding the responsibilities of board members to defending them, he provides strategic legal advice in white collar crime cases. In securities trading matters, he effectively defends senior executives against allegations of insider trading and market manipulation, consistently achieving favorable outcomes for clients. In the field of trade secrets law, he has successfully navigated the low success rate of trade secrets cases in Taiwan by conducting thorough legal analyses and achieving crucial favorable outcomes for clients across various technological sectors.
In addition, Yu-Wen provides a wide range of legal services to listed companies in Taiwan. His extensive experience includes handling contract disputes, product liability issues, labor disputes, and more. His practice spans diverse industries such as textiles, advertising, chemicals, optics, real estate, hospitality, petrochemicals, financial holding companies, and medical devices. Yu-Wen has also successfully provided litigation strategies and legal support in complex corporate governance disputes, helping clients secure control of their operations.
Before joining Jones Day in 2018, Yu-Wen honed his skills at a prestigious Taipei law firm, where he gained substantial courtroom experience. He has managed high-profile civil and criminal cases, including those related to anticorruption and securities laws, and he has adeptly handled extraordinary appeals and retrials for clients. In 2021, he furthered his education at Northwestern University in the United States, focusing on corporate governance and securities trading law. Upon obtaining his degree, he returned to Jones Day in 2022.
Yu-Wen is a member of the Taipei Bar Association. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
