Liz Benshoff focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on securities and shareholder litigation in federal and state courts across the country, including in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
Liz represents corporations, directors, and officers in securities, shareholder, and derivative litigation arising from significant corporate events. She also has experience with stockholder and director demands for books and records under Delaware's General Corporation Law (DGCL) Section 220 and other statutes, fiduciary claims, and appraisal claims. Liz is currently part of a team defending AeroGrow International, its directors, and its majority stockholder and corporate affiliates in a stockholder class action arising from AeroGrow's acquisition by its majority stockholder. She also contributes to the Firm's publication of its Securities Litigation Year in Review.
Liz maintains an active pro bono practice, including providing legal services to individuals seeking asylum and other immigration relief. She is also a member of the Columbus Office Recruiting Committee and the Columbus Office Women's Initiative.
