Dr. Michael Bartosch has broad experience in assisting clients in cross-border and domestic M&A, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, carve-outs and other corporate transactions, as well as corporate reorganizations and general corporate law matters. Many clients rely on him as their trusted advisor, and throughout his 15 years of practice, he has represented numerous strategic and financial investors in various industries, including automotive, manufacturing, technology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Michael was a partner in the Munich office of a U.S. law firm, where he represented a number of notable companies, including a large medical device company in the carve-out of its German business; BITZER, a leading manufacturer of refrigeration and air conditioning products, on the acquisition of OJ Electronics Group; Kamax, a prominent manufacturer for the automotive industry, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Galol Group; Evonik on the carve-out and sale of its methacrylates business to Advent International; TA Associates (TA), a leading global growth private equity firm, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Germany-based IGEL Group; and B.C. Jindal Group on the acquisition of Treofan Group, a former Celanese subsidiary from Italian private equity investor M&C S.p.A.
Michael is a member of the Rechtsanwaltskammer München (Munich Bar) and the German Bar Association.
