Andrea Cantarelli advises Italian and international banks, financial institutions, as well as alternative lenders (such as investment funds) and borrowers in structuring, drafting, and negotiating real estate financing transactions. He has deep experience in transactions with different asset classes, including logistic and retail assets and hotels.
Andrea's experience covers investment-grade corporate loans, secured asset and real estate-backed lending, structured senior and mezzanine loans, and bespoke debt structures for specific projects, with experience at the origination, refinancing, recapitalization, and restructuring stages of transactions.
Andrea also has significant experience in green loans and sustainability linked loans (SLL), acquisition financing transactions, on both the lender and the borrower side, providing legal assistance to Italian and international investment funds on the acquisition of nonperforming loan portfolios (NPLs), and in project finance matters relating to energy projects.
Andrea also advises distressed investors (including funds), special servicers, banks, and shareholders and debtors in distress, on domestic insolvency and pre-insolvency matters and debt restructuring, including cross-border restructuring and insolvencies.
