Siobhan Deacon advises Australian and international clients on complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters. Her experience includes regulatory actions, high-value contractual disputes, and consumer law actions, acting in a range of jurisdictions including the Federal Court of Australia and state courts.
Siobhan recently acted in defense of a significant prosecution by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) and for an international pharmaceutical company in proceedings brought by the federal government. She also has advised clients in relation to alleged breaches of directors' duties; claims of misleading, deceptive, and unconscionable conduct; and alleged breaches of federal discrimination law. Her experience covers a range of sectors including energy and resources, pharmaceuticals, financial services, technology, and defense.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Siobhan interned at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre.
