Josh Dutton represents employers in complex labor and employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions, and representative actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) before state and federal courts. He has experience in all stages of litigation, including factual investigation, discovery management, and drafting dispositive motions. In addition to his litigation practice, Josh advises employers regarding review of company policies and wage statements.
Prior to rejoining Jones Day in 2023, Josh served as a federal law clerk to Judge Marilyn Huff in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Josh also held a federal externship with Judge Cynthia Bashant in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California during law school.
Josh shares Jones Day's commitment to pro bono representation and has worked on multiple teams assisting Central and South American refugees in their applications for asylum.
