Bayley Johnson is a labor and employment associate at Jones Day, where she leverages her experience in traditional labor, administrative agency litigation, and employment litigation to help employers navigate complex labor and employment matters.
Bayley's practice focuses especially on traditional labor matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and the Railway Labor Act (RLA). She brings a business-oriented approach to representing clients in high-stakes labor relations matters and partners with clients across all industries, including manufacturing, food and agriculture, railroad, banking and finance, oil and gas, media and telecommunications, and transportation industries. Her depth of experience in traditional labor matters includes collective bargaining, grievance management, labor arbitration proceedings, unfair labor practice proceedings, union organizing, strike contingency planning, strike injunction proceedings, and labor management relations counseling. She regularly represents clients before American Arbitration Association (AAA) and Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) arbitrators and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
Bayley's experience also extends to counseling clients with labor and employment issues related to mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions. She represents employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and administrative agencies in discrimination matters, wage and hour litigation, and other employment litigation matters.
Bayley is an active member of the American Bar Association Practice & Procedure Committee Under the NLRA, and she is a frequent speaker on traditional labor topics. In addition to her labor and employment practice, Bayley is also dedicated to pro bono representation, primarily in asylum cases before federal administrative agencies.
