John Loscheider represents clients in complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. He has experience helping companies with their most pressing concerns — from the initiation of disputes to motions practice and trial preparation.
Prior to joining Jones Day, John gained valuable experience in several capacities in the United States Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps. As a military prosecutor, he first-chaired numerous jury and judge-alone trials that spanned all of the litigation stages, including discovery, motions, expert witnesses, and oral advocacy on behalf of the government. John also advised high-ranking commanders on complicated issues of international law, the law of armed conflict, ethics, and internal investigations. In his last assignment, John was the chief of administrative law for an Army installation comprised of nearly 20,000 individuals, reviewing high-profile and sensitive internal investigations and advising General officers on compliance issues.
Before serving as a judge advocate, John served in the Army as an infantry officer. For his military service in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and across multiple duty locations, John was awarded the Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, the Ranger tab, Airborne badge, and Air Assault badge.
