Sarah Morgado focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and government investigations. She has experience in many aspects of litigation, internal investigations, and government investigations, including managing electronic discovery, developing defense strategies, drafting motions and pleadings, conducting witness interviews, seeking injunctive relief, responding to government requests and subpoenas, managing expert discovery, and taking and defending depositions. Prior to joining Jones Day, Sarah served as a law clerk to a federal judge, where she worked on a wide variety of civil and criminal matters, including class actions, securities litigation, and complex business disputes.
Sarah has represented clients across many industries, including oil and gas, aviation, consumer goods, and hospitality. In addition, she maintains a strong commitment to pro bono representation. At Jones Day, Sarah supports veterans of the United States Armed Forces through Jones Day's VetLex pro bono initiative and survivors of human trafficking through Jones Day's Post-Conviction Relief Program. Before joining the Firm, Sarah assisted in the pro bono representation of a father seeking the return of his wrongfully detained minor child under the Hague Convention.
