Dan Partovi has more than 20 years' experience advising significant companies, sponsors, private equity and sovereign funds, and government-related entities on complex international transactions.
His focus includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial partnerships, and investing into and from the Middle East. Dan is particularly experienced in advising international institutions on M&A transactions and strategic partnerships with state-owned entities and sovereign wealth funds. He has advised on more than 100 such transactions, including many in the hospitality, health care, and infrastructure spaces.
Institutions that Dan has advised include Goldman Sachs, Hilton Hotels, LinkedIn, Macquarie Bank, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Orange/France Telecom, Procter & Gamble, Renault, The Riverside Company, SAP, Schneider Electric, Toyota, and government-related institutions of the United Arab Emirates, China, Germany, and France.
Dan is author of the official commentary to the Companies Law of the Dubai International Financial Centre (published by Lexis Nexis) and provides the UAE legal community with continuing education on companies law and governance. He has been recognized by The Legal 500 and Chambers directories for M&A, corporate & commercial, energy, and telecoms media and technology transactions and is acknowledged as being able to "really understand the business issues behind the legal documents."
