Preston Smith counsels clients on U.S. federal income tax aspects of complex transactions, including U.S. and cross-border M&A, reorganizations, financings, and securities offerings. Preston also advises on international tax planning, withholding and reporting obligations, and joint ventures.
Preston works with nonprofit organizations to secure and maintain tax-exempt status and advises on the various tax aspects of transactions for tax-exempt clients.
Prior to attending law school, Preston worked as an advisory associate in the Cyber, Risk, & Regulatory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa, Florida.
