Tyler Tafuri's practice focuses on complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. He represents international and U.S. clients in a wide variety of matters, including commercial disputes, disputes based on structured products, public nuisance, health care, and business restructuring and reorganization proceedings. He has experience in all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, drafting and responding to discovery, expert preparation, dispositive motion practice, and trial.
Recently, Tyler defended a major retailer in hundreds of cases brought by state and municipal governments across the country alleging that the distribution and sale of prescription opioids constitutes a public nuisance. In addition to overseeing several of these matters across all stages of discovery, Tyler served on a trial team defending the retailer in state court.
Tyler maintains an active pro bono practice. He has particular experience representing clients from Central American countries seeking asylum in the United States, especially individuals seeking refuge based upon political opinion.
