Ally Werntz represents and counsels employers in a variety of complex labor management relations issues and employment litigation matters. Ally primarily focuses her practice on labor relations, including collective bargaining, union organizing, representation proceedings, grievance and arbitration proceedings, and unfair labor practice proceedings arising under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). She also assists in representing employers in employment litigation matters involving disputes brought under various federal and state laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and wage and hour laws. Additionally, Ally counsels employers regarding compliance with labor and employment laws and advises on labor and employment aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
Ally represents clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, health care, financial services, technology, automotive, railroad, and construction. She has represented manufacturing companies as the first chair lawyer in National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) unfair labor practice hearings and in labor arbitrations.
In addition to her labor and employment practice, Ally, a former AmeriCorps volunteer, continues to follow her passion for public service by maintaining an active pro bono practice by, among other things, providing advice to nonprofit organizations and representing immigrants seeking asylum in the United States.
