Standard Insurance settles suit alleging ERISA and ADA violations

Client(s) Standard Insurance Company

Jones Day helped Standard Insurance Company obtain a settlement of an ERISA lawsuit in the District of Massachusetts. The plaintiff filed an action for benefits under ERISA and sought an order declaring a common policy limitation unenforceable under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lawsuit settled shortly after a motion to dismiss the ADA claim was fully briefed.
