Japanese pharmaceutical company prevails in ICC arbitration
Client(s) Japanese pharmaceutical company
Jones Day successfully represented a Japanese pharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration with a U.S. pharmaceutical company regarding a contractual and intellectual property dispute in France. The dispute, in which our client was accused of breaching its contractual obligation to maintain a patent, involved the application of laws of multiple jurisdictions. While the details of the arbitration are confidential, the client obtained an award of no liability under the law governing the license agreement. The ICC award dismissed all claims submitted against the client.
