Jones Day successfully represented a major commercial real estate property and construction management company in a dispute with the owner of a high-rise office building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The owner alleged deficient work with respect to a multi-floor asbestos abatement and tenant build-out project. The owner's claim was over $4 million including delay claims, holdover rent and general conditions. After months of investigation and negotiation, the parties reached a resolution.
