Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn successfully defend against Title III Accessibility class actions
Client(s) Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc.
Jones Day defended Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn against two separate class action lawsuits arising under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The plaintiffs alleged in both cases that the retailers' point-of-sale devices were inaccessible and could not be used by blind and visually impaired customers. A favorable settlement was negotiated soon after the charges were brought.
