Sherwin-Williams defends lead paint actions brought by California cities and counties

Jones Day is defending The Sherwin-Williams Company against claims brought by ten of California's largest cities and counties. Sherwin-Williams is appealing the trial court's decision ordering Sherwin-Williams, ConAgra, and NL, jointly and severally, to pay $1.15 billion into a fund for public education and the inspection and abatement of almost all privately owned, pre-1981 residences in the Jurisdictions.
