Jones Day advised Électricité de Strasbourg, an energy provider in Alsace (France), in the formation of a joint venture with Eramet, one of the leading French actors in the mining and metallurgy industries, to develop and use joint capabilities for the extraction, refining and production of lithium from geothermal resources, with a targeted annual volume of 10,000 tons of lithium corresponding to the volume necessary to produce c.250,000 batteries for electric vehicles per year).
