Elizabeth Byrne represents clients in all manner of complex commercial litigation and disputes in state and federal courts. Elizabeth has experience evaluating claims and legal issues, managing fact investigation, developing strategies for and handling all phases of offensive and defensive discovery, and preparing and arguing motions and briefs in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Elizabeth worked as a litigator at an energy-focused firm, where she represented energy clients in various commercial and environmental disputes. She has represented major oil and gas companies in environmental contamination multidistrict litigation, energy companies in royalty and lease disputes, and a range of other clients in various commercial disputes. Elizabeth also advised clients on federal environmental compliance issues impacting offshore oil and gas operations and represented clients in a number of administrative appeals before the U.S. Department of the Interior Board of Land Appeals, including in royalty and decommissioning disputes.
