Emma France advises on contractual arrangements and regulatory issues relating to the development, construction, financing, acquisition, and transfer of projects in France, Europe, and Africa. Her practice is particularly focused on the energy (conventional and renewable), mining, transportation, water, and telecom sectors.

Before joining Jones Day in 2024, Emma worked for international law firms in Paris and London and advised on the development, financing, and construction of a 390 MW cogeneration power project in the Ivory Coast; on a road tolling concession in Gambia; on the financing of a 147 MW hydropower plant on the Ruzizi River, which crosses Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and Rwanda; and on multiple solar projects.

She also has written several articles and publications on energy and mining laws.

(FMO), acting as co-mandated lead arrangers, alongside Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) in connection with a €84 million loan provided to AXIAN Energy to finance a 60 MW solar energy and 72 MWh energy storage system in Senegal.
