Utilizing his background and experience as an electrical test engineer, David Linden has prosecuted patents across various technologies including high-technology, life science, and energy. David has also drafted validity opinions involving high-resolution and focusing imaging technologies, as well as infringement opinions concerning aerosol technologies.

David's experience in the high-tech field includes semiconductors, machine learning, digital imaging technologies, natural language processing (NLP), blockchain technologies, artificial neural networks, data reading and writing, signal and image processing, augmented reality, movement sensor technologies, phase-locked loops, floating point processors, rearview mirror technologies, and electric vehicle control system applications.

His experience in the life science arena includes surgical biofabrication and organ preservation systems. In the energy sector, David has prosecuted patent applications involving electric vehicle power systems and solar panels. He also has experience with heating systems for oil and gas flowlines as well as oil and gas separation technologies.

David has also advised foreign counsel in developing and implementing complex international patent prosecution strategies.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2021, David was the system manager of a data acquisition system at NASA Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio, where he supported test projects for the nation's only facility capable of testing full-scale upper stage launch vehicles and rocket engines under simulated space conditions.

David is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA).
