Erika Whyte represents corporate clients in government investigations and complex civil litigation matters. In recent years, her practice has focused on defending clients facing investigations by state attorneys general and other government agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Erika provides strategic advice on how to successfully navigate and respond to such investigations, including developing a coordinated defense to the related private litigation, arbitrations, and media attacks that often accompany such investigations. Erika has experience in all aspects of investigations and litigation, including developing and implementing defense strategies, managing complex and large scale e-discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and participating in trials.
Erika also devotes time to pro bono matters and served as first chair in a successful final hearing that resulted in a grant of asylum to a Guatemalan family fleeing gang persecution.
Erika is actively involved in Firm recruiting and serves as the summer associate assignment coordinator for the Miami Office.
